Stoneways were delighted to support the JOG Yacht Racing Cowes to Poole weekend over the 13th and 14th September, though due to some heavy weather the fleet, which included our Yacht Manager George Beevor, stayed in the Solent with the Ilse of Wight giving enough of a lee to ensure great racing was had by all without the weather getting too silly.
JOG run coastal and offshore racing for yachts from their start line off Cowes with France, the Channel Islands among the regular destination as well as Stoneways’ home port of Poole. Stoneways have been proud to support JOG ever since we were set up and sponsoring this race gives us the opportunity to meet up with clients and other competitors.
The prize giving was hastily switched form Poole Quay to the Island Sailing Club in Cowes where George handed out bottle prizes for each class and a Stoneways branded jacked for the Generation JOG winner.
A full report on the racing and a video looking at what Generation JOG is doing to interview with Keith Lovett and JOG regular Ollie Hawkins are both up on Yachts and Yachting website at this link.
